So, this is Week 3 of my short second semester. As stated in the title of this post, I am obviously still alive. In fact, I just came back from the gym. I myself find it hard to believe that I would hit the gym, but what else can I do when I am stuck in this dead place called Cyberjaya?

I think I should make some comment on my lecture classes. I am currently taking two subjects this semester; Physical Electronics as well as Computer Organization and Architecture. First off, there is an utterly overused of my name or rather the SI unit for temperature, Kelvin, in Physical Electronics class. You know, when someone called your name out loud and you will twitch to look to the direction of the sound kind of feeling? That's how I felt. Everytime the lecturer mentioned 'Kelvin', I would just felt uneasy. Anyway, I guess now I can control myself and got used to all that.

I better not talk much on the second subject I am taking. There's so much to complain about that particular subject. It is a total waste of my time, and my money to take this subject. Everything taught seems so common. Imagine learning about the History of Computers all over again...

By the way, last Saturday, I went to Gua Tempurung as well as around Ipoh town under Tourism Club. I'll update about that once I got the pictures. As starter, I must admit, Gua Tempurung is worth every cent I paid to go in there. Getting down and dirty, being 'trapped' in the cave for almost three hours, I totally loved it. I am absolutely looking forward for another visit in the near future.

That's all for now I guess to warm up myself in order for me to update my blog as regularly as possible.

~Kelv~

Back at Last

It had been a long time since this blog was last updated by me. As a matter of fact, I actually made the decision to go on hiatus for the whole last semester. It allows me to reconstruct what I wanted to write in the future. I find my writing is on the verge of being gloomy and a little bit too personal at times.

So, as for now, I am about to start a whole new semester which I hope to be a better one. I will write more as soon as possible. I guess that is all I can bring myself to write now.

-Kelv-

Back to Cyberjaya

Okay, since I have some free time now, I will do some short update. I am thinking of posting my visit to the Japanese buffet yesterday, but I guess that can wait.

Currently, I just finished cleaning my room in the hostel. Yup. Today is the hostel registration day for me. I am now staying in HB2 (previously HB1). New room in the new block marks new resolution, new semester, new academic year, and so on. Enough said, I will show the current view I am overlooking out my hostel window:

And, this is part of my room:

Oh ya, I had my breakfast with my sister just now in OldTown Cafe. I had been a long day. I am to take a plane to go back to KL from KT. My flight was scheduled to depart at 9.20 pm on the 12th of June.

First scenario:
Unfortunately, a day before my flight, which was on the 11th, I received a SMS from Air Asia telling me that it was retimed to 10.35 pm instead of the original time. I just accepted what they got to offer since I can’t do anything to make the flight earlier.

Second scenario:
So, I went to the airport around 9 pm. I boarded the plane at about 10.30 pm. Soon, the plane gathered its momentum, picked up speed and took off leaving Sultan Mahmud Airport behind. During the “took off” period, the smell of ‘smoke’, or I can say ‘chao hoi da’ (Hokkien) smell began to fill the air inside the aircraft. I never really bother to care though about what is going to happen next, only to wish deep inside my heart to reach the destination faster.

After about 10 to 15 minutes of flying, the lighting inside the aircraft still had not on despite the fact that the plane was stabilized (It is quite unusual). Curiosity crept in me as the lights on the emergency exit flickered on. Cabin crews were running along the middle of the aircraft. Not long after that, about 11 pm, the pilot announced through the speaker, “Cabin crews please be seated for landing”. I was like ‘Huh!’ (Jaw dropped). I sensed the passengers aboard had the same feeling like me.

I felt the plane maneuvered to turn back. By looking out in the dark, I saw that the plane was actually hanging very low in the air. It was slightly above the sea. Perhaps, I guessed if we were to crash, the sea would probably be the safest place. I am also thinking of my laptop and stuff being wet if we landed on the sea. To my relief, we touched down again at the Sultan Mahmud Airport. Safe and sound!

As the plane came to a halt, some people started to stand up to retrieve their luggage. I even heard one of the cabin crew saying, “Pak Cik, sila duduk”. Some people on their handphones which were then being dismiss off the action by the crews on board. We waited patiently. The captain announced that there were smoke, and they were currently looking for the source.

Around 11.30 pm, we were ordered to leave the aircraft, and wait in the departure hall as the searching of the source continued in the cabin. In the departure hall, people were talking as if the place was a night market. I sat there looking around doing my usual ‘people watching’; there were a group of teenagers about my age just back from Redang Island, men and women of the business having a trip to Kuala Terengganu, families of three most probably came for vacation, “Mak Cik and Pak Cik” as well as couples.

At 12 am, the flight was officially cancelled. It would be replaced the next morning (this morning in my time of blogging). Then again there were frenzied as people enquired more at the counter – some asking for refunds, some trying to get the new flight itinerary.
I called my parents to come fetch me, and I am back again to my house. How ironic!

Scenario 3:
This morning, when I was on my way to the airport (again), I saw the group of teenagers waiting outside Permai Park Inn with a lot of other people. I knew it because the guy was using the same bag as I am during my time in campus (the orange Reebok bag). I guessed the not local passengers were accommodated there. Today’s flight was very full. After reaching LCCT, I took a cab back to my house. Wow, what a start to my new trimester of Gamma year.

***

This incident totally caused me to delay my first intended post.

Quote of the day:

"Since it's my last day, so I can eat a lot."

-Kelvin to his mother at the 'Gerai Makanan' two days back which was then being 'choi'-ed in a Chinese superstition kind of way by her-

(the 'eat a lot' means the Malay food in Terengganu, the 'last day' means my last day in KT)

The moral of the story is: Think twice before considering Air Asia. Be careful when boarding AK6337.

SUKMA 2008

For starter, Terengganu is the host of SUKMA (Sukan Malaysia) this year which will be the twelveth installment. Fortunately enough, I am currently having my semester break and this enables me to catch a glimpse of the competition in my hometown itself. I decided to kill some time in the Kuala Terengganu Aquatic Centre for the swimming event yesterday with Wen Sher. I am quite fond of swimming competition since I was a kid so it would be nothing, but a wise choice for me to go.

Well, I was delighted to see how much Terengganu have changed since I last left the place to further on my studies. Once an abandoned public swimming pool, the place - now named Kuala Terengganu Aquatic Centre - is a very prestigious looking stadium just for the sake of hosting Sukma.

The beauty of the architectures

Alright, back to the competition, I am stoked as I am able to see my idol in the 'Malaysia swimming arena' - Daniel William Henry Bego, or most known as Daniel Bego. He is such a talented Sarawakian lad, breaking game and national records, with promising future ahead of him. And the fact that he is younger than me really inspires me more to work hard to achieve what I wanted all this while.

The competition was worth watching. One of the most notable one was when we were rooting for Carmen Ooi who represented Terengganu.

As stated on the board, Carmen won it for Terengganu. Hurray!! Congrats to her.

Daniel Bego!! Finally, I got to see him walking past me. The hilarious part was that me and Wen Sher was surrounded by a bunch of teenage girls that basically went to the competition to look for good looking, and hot bods swimmers clad in their swimming trunks instead of the competition itself. When Daniel was walking past us, one of the girls shouted "Daniel!!" to the top of her voice which caused him turn and look over in our direction.

In addition to that, it was such an ironic that there were quite a lot of familiar faces or I can put it, 'voices'. My secondary school teacher, Mr. Toh Chin Kiat is a volunteer while Jeffrey's voice was heard through the speaker announcing along with teacher Wan Ah Chooi. Jeffrey's dad was ushering the V.I.P (I guess). I even saw Mr. Chua of MMU Malacca.

I enjoyed every part of my time there. The last part was even better. It was the 4x200m Freestyle. I got to see Daniel Bego in action as well.

That is Daniel Bego ready to jump.
This is him again. The Sarawak team won the 4x200m Men's Freestyle. Congrats as they really did a good job to deserve it.

Above all, I get to take picture with Daniel Bego. Recently cast as Mitchie Torres for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, she is Demi Lovato. She is only 15 years old, and she can definitely sing better than Miley Cyrus. From left: Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas

Back to my title, Camp Rock as mentioned above is the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie. Besides Demi Lovato, it also starred teen pop sensation, The Jonas Brothers with Joe Jonas taking on the lead actor role. Just like High School Musical, Camp Rock is also a musical. I felt Camp Rock will be one of my favourite Disney Channel Original Movie. By just looking at the trailer, I just can't wait to watch it. From the trailer, I see that Joe and Demi are way more compatible compared to Zac and Vanessa in HSM. The chemistry is so obvious.

Once again, Disney never fails to cast a spell on me with their original movies.

Camp Rock will premiere on the 20th of June in the U.S.

An Encounter with Nature

I had been back for a few days now to Terengganu. I guess you people will be thinking that I am indeed crazy for taking a picture of a rock. Maybe I am, maybe I am not. I am actually trying to emphasize on the fact that one rock like this is the basic building material of the house you are currently living in right now. In this modern and developing world where people seek for money, fame, and status, a rock means nothing to them. I believe the only 'rock' people are fascinated about are diamond, emerald and many other precious rocks plunging the neck or decorating the fingers of someone.

When I was there, the cooling gush of wind was very calming to me. The beauty of nature is everywhere around us. We need to try our best to conserve it. Stop smoking! Stop open burning! Stop cutting down trees for your own profit! Sometimes, we even overlook certain basic details in our life due to distraction, including myself. I believe if we stop for a second or two to feel the natural surrounding, we will realise a lot from it.

Credit: To my parents for bringing me to such a place (for regular exercising) and to my camera phone that I managed to take some pictures worth noticing.

-Kelv-

Dream Big

When I was a little boy.
I swore that I would change the world when I grew up.
Nothing else would be enough.

I see it everyday.
We settled for safe.
And lose ourselves along the way.

But if you don't dream big,
What's the use of dreaming?
If you don't have faith,
There's nothing worth believing.
It takes one look
To make the stars worth reaching for.
So reach out for something more.

It took a well perfected plan
For me to finally understand
That it's not me.
Faith is something you can't see.

I wiped my tears away.
Now its time for a change.
No I can't waste another day.

'Cause if you don't dream big,
What's the use of dreaming?
If you don't have faith
There's nothing worth believing.
It takes one look
To make the stars worth reaching for.

'Cause if you don't have faith,
What's the use of dreaming?
If you don't have faith
There's nothing worth believing.
It takes one look.
To make the stars worth reaching for.
So reach out for something more.

By Beam. As my friends might know, I am an avid fan of everything about Thai namely its culture, food, language and not to mention, the music industry there. I just found out couple of hours ago that Dan & Beam officially announced their separation to pursue solo career in November 2007. I know it is indeed very late for me to write this tribute entry, but pardon me; it is as hard for me to catch up on the Thailand music industry as to the incidents happening within Malaysia itself. Perhaps, I am too caught up with the everyday life in campus.

So, back to the separation news, the duo started off as a trio with another former member, Big with the name of D2B. It is quite saddening news because eventually Big caught in an accident that took away his life after D2B garnered quite a success in Thailand earning them the Favourite Artist Thailand in the 2003 MTV Asia Award. The future of D2B took a turning point when that accident happened after just merely releasing three albums. Big suffered for about four years including going into comatose following the accident in June 2003 until he finally passed on to the afterlife on the 9th of December 2007.

Here is a link about his death: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/2007/12/09/headlines/headlines_30058606.php

I supposed I should tell a bit of my story on how I got to know D2B since they are from Thailand while I am just a resident in Malaysia. As a child, I grew up with the influence about the music industry there from my sisters: those times we had television shows like "Asia Bagus" and certain "MTV show" that exposed us to Thailand music. I guess this is how I grew up to love Thailand and the music there leading me to knowing D2B through the internet as well. When I was in secondary school, somewhere in the year 2004 to 2005, I used to stay up late to watch Astro Prima for the Thai series or the Thais calls it 'lakorn' - Wai Rai High School and Wai Rai Freshy. Wai Rai Freshy starred two of D2B's members, Big and Dan. This makes me like the group even more. Besides, I remember coming across Big's news in the local newspaper.

Dan & Beam caught my attention once again when they released an album as a duo entitled "Dan & Beam: The Album” back in 2005. I even got a chance to watch one episode of Dan & Beam travel series when I was in Bangkok last year. To top it up, recently, Beam had been chosen as the ambassador of WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature).

Lastly, I would like to say that I am looking forward to seeing Dan and Beam as solo artistes and may Big rests in peace. All I can conclude from this is that separation is something necessary that we deal in everyday life - friends come and go, parents will soon leave us as we get older (this is something I do not wish to deal for time to come), and lovers go on separate ways. This is in fact the hardest thing to deal on in life even for me.

D2B, Dan & Beam forever.

-Kelv-

Here, I include a picture:

D2B with their 2003 MTV Asia Award

From Left: Dan, Big, Deam

Silence

Right... To start off, people said "silence is golden".

I don't think so.

Here is the reason why:
Currently I am partially deaf. That's probably the reason why I don't talk too much since last weekend. It's hard to hear what people are trying to tell me just by using one ear. Now, I think I got the feeling of how having hearing impairment can be a sad case. Though it's just my right ear that is stuck, it's enough to cause me headache and drive me crazy. Besides, I can't sleep yesterday night because of it. Maybe I am worried. I still need to use my ear for my upcoming MUET listening test. I can't imagine not being able to hear my favourite songs, and listen to voices around me. Well, I am looking forward to see the doctor real soon.

To me, "silence is deafening".

Gossip

Quote of the Day

"You're nobody until you're talked about"

XoXo,
Gossip Girl

Well, this is the scenario when people talk behind your back. So, I decided to google and here are a few popular ones I found.

"Home", by Diana Ross
"Home", by Daughtry
"Home", by Three Days Grace
"Home", by Michael Bublé
"Home", by Fools Garden
"Home", by Smash Mouth
"Home", by Sheryl Crow
"Home", by Alan Jackson
"Home", by Breaking Benjamin
"Home", by Katharine McPhee
"Home", by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony & Phil Collins
"Home", by Nine Inch Nails
"Home", by Foo Fighters
"Home", by Smashing Pumpkins
"Home," by 12 Stones

Anyway, this is not the main point. The main point is:

I AM HOME!!

I am not in Terengganu though; I am just back to my crib in Selangor. Now, I can use the opportunity to watch as much television as I want. Besides, I can 'explore' the refrigerator for more foods as well as enjoying a hot water bath.

I am currently watching Idol Gives Back. Not bad. At least I enjoyed some of the performances especially the Top 8 singing Rihanna's Don't Stop the Music.

Will keep ya posted.

The End, The Leaked, The Premiered, The News, The Beginning - It's All A Part of Life

Yay... All the midterms are finally over!! Woohoo...Good or bad? I don't really care. Marks are just numbers anyway, skills are the most important after all - as taught by Mr. Siew Wee Ong during lab. So, besides studying, this week is kind of interesting to me.

First of all, I would gladly announced that Mariah's album, E=MC2 (Emancipation of Mariah Carey to the second power) which is slated for April 15th release unfortunately leaked to the internet. No doubt, I would be lying if I said that I haven't downloaded it for preview. Now, I can't seem to stop listening to it. Anyway, my sister's going to buy it soon so it would be a fair move that I download and she buys (a win-win situation I proclaim :P).

Next on my list is that Madonna and JT's new video "4 Minutes" premiered this week as well. To be honest, after seeing it, I have to admit that Madonna looked way younger than JT at 49. Maybe it was some sort of camera trick they used (I said maybe, I do not wish to be sued). Regarding the song, it was already in my list of current favourite.

This week of American Idol wasn't that overwhelming. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that I find it boring. I know everyone is busy preparing for Idol Gives Back but, please don't take things not seriously. The song choices made by the contestants don't trigger me into the excited mood which I usually have. In addition, my favourite contestants seem to get it all wrong giving way for the weaker contestant to shine. Most probably another shocking elimination will occur.

I guess it's time I come back to things happening within me. This week itself I got to know that my hostel application had been approved. I am very happy with that. The thing is, after doing my little research; I can't find anyone that I know getting the hostel. How am I supposed to get myself two roomates? I guess I just have to wait and see who I am assigned to.

In contrary to my hostel application, I attended the 5 to 6 pm class for Electronics on last Tuesday due to my EPM1016 presentation. As we all know, in MMU culture, students usually bring forward their classes to an earlier time slot in order to finish class early. The same statement applied to me too :) The class I attended was so empty that I was spending my time sitting there doing some human counting. If I am not mistaken, only 19++ people including me was in the class. I kesian at lecturers actually realizing that they have to carry on and teach with such a small amount of students while we students (me as well) get to sleep or relax for finishing class early.

That would be it for now from me as I need to get myself some ZzzzZzz.

Quote of the day: "End of midterms marks the beginning of assignments and final examinations. C'est la vie!"

Current Fav Songs

Some great tunes currently playing on my Ipod which I just can't get enough of it.

Mariah Carey - Touch My Body

Estelle - American Boy (feat. Kanye West)

Janet - Feedback

Danity Kane - Damaged

Ferras - Hollywood's Not America

Madonna & Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes

Sara Bareilles - Love Song

The Fray - Look after You

Chris Brown - With You

Jordin Sparks - No Air (feat. Chris Brown)

David Cook - Billie Jean (American Idol Studio Version)

David Cook - Eleanor Rigby (American Idol Studio Version)

Brooke White - Let It Be (American Idol Studio Version)

Brooke White - Jolene (American Idol Studio Version)

Taylor Swift - Teardrops on My Guitar

Panic at the Disco - Nine in the Afternoon

Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight

Album worth checking out:

Coco by Colbie Caillat - Somehow rather, I found solace in her. The simplicity of her lyrics as well as the purity of her voice just relaxes me. Coco is tailor made to make me realize how it is better to be a bubbly person. This album, in my opinion, is a breath of fresh oxygen that I certainly need.

Spirit by Leona Lewis - This X-factor UK winner is definitely her to make a mark on the music industry just like other divas namely Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Spirit offers a totally different genre from that of Coco as it is more emotional and strong vocally. Obviously, Leona is a powerhouse and I must admit - she is hot! The first single from the album is Bleeding Love; an emotional filled song written by non other than both my favourite Ryan Tedder, and Jesse McCartney. In addition, she is going to debut her album in the US very soon indicating that she is here to stay for a very long time. I am looking forward to more of her music in the future.

Notes: American Idol Season 7 is currently airing so, there is no doubt my playlist will contain some of the studio recording of the contestants.

Unfulfilled

I am sitting here staring blindly into my EPM1016 notes. To be frank, surprisingly, I don't feel nervous about going to tonight's exam. Most probably I am too numb of midterms. I can't wait to go and sit for the test. So, instead of doing some last minute studying, I decided to kill some time to update my blog. Midterm tests are the reason why I haven't made an effort to put up an entry for quite some time.

Somehow under this kind of "midterm test stress", I managed to think of so many things. It is funny how I can recall such stuffs. I finally found the reason why I still continue on although stress came along the way. I have a goal. I once set a very impossible thing to achieve. To put it in an easier way, instead of just being an engineer in the near future, I wish to be multipurpose or so-called versatile kind of person.

Choosing to be an Electronics Engineer perhaps is a bit of influence from my dad who used to be an electrician. Too much of facing little components: transistors, diodes, resistors and so on really enthusiast me to pursue the course.

However, as mentioned earlier, there are more for me to achieve in order to fulfil my goal. I've always wanted to try:

Becoming a chef - I hope to take cooking as well as baking courses in the near future. Even if I do not want to be a chef, cooking skills are actually essential for me as most of you know how much I love food. Trying my hands on cooking Italian cuisines, baking mouth-watering Croissant, and cooking spicy, exotic Thai food tops my cooking list :)

Becoming a freelance designer - Fashion designer? Not! I would like to design a thing or two; perhaps some website layouts and furniture pieces for instance while working as an engineer. I have been constantly working to boost my creative side as well. Designing can be self taught and solely based on inspiration.

Becoming a host/deejay/emcee - I know! i know! I used to be the deejay for my university radio (Radio Multimedia University abbreviated by RMMU) for one semester, but that is not the kind of job I am talking about. What I mean is working for the real radio station as well as hosting some shows on national television. There's nothing better than talking non-stop especially on the radio and tv. Plus, it would be great to share good music and information to the public.

In addition, I also hope to:

Travel the world - So far, up until now, I managed to visit South Africa (Cape Town and Johannesburg), Argentina (Beunos Aires), and Thailand (Bangkok). I am stoked as I get to visit Bangkok (a place of my dream since small), so I consider this half fulfilled. Well, there's still so many other places to travel to thus I hope to do it in the near future.

Learn musical instruments - I want to learn piano and guitar. I was never been exposed to the musical world when I was young, but I knew it was never too late to start. As they say, "better late than never". To top it up, releasing an album would be perfect as well.

Mastering more languages - I speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Hokkien, and Cantonese; a little bit of Teochew and Thai. I want to learn more languages so that it will be easy for me to communicate with people all around the world.

Build up some muscles :P - Enrolling myself to the fitness centre, or gym, and having a personal trainer will definitely help in this case.

Those are the few things I can think of for now though it's odd that I have little wish of becoming a model. I knew myself and my limitations well; my heights just don't match up to the requirement to be a male model.

Having all these goals to achieve perhaps is one of the many reasons why I am still single. There's so much to do and freedom is what I need to achieve it. Though, who knows, as love is blind, I might one day forgotten all about my goals when I found the special someone.

P/s: To those thinking that I am setting an impossible target, let me give you a piece of advice: "You won't achieve anything unless you set a high target for yourself!"

Kelv. T

Extreme Makeover

I had some cosmetic surgeries done on my physical appearance recently. I underwent nose job, lips job, skin whitening, face lift as well as a hair cut. This is what I looked like before and after.

......

......

......

......

......

......

......

......

......

The above statements are actually fiction. The facts are,

This is the picture taken for my university smartcard. All of a sudden, this picture was uploaded on my university profile which pisses me off.

I never really like this picture. Furthermore, I was embarrassed to show it to anyone, but some fun once in a while won't hurt.

Out of boredom, I decided to 'photoshop' this picture. I should have put the title of this entry “Extreme Photoshop Makeover”.

I did had a hair cut this week though.

Now, laugh all you can about this picture as "laughter is the best medicine" XD .Well, at least I look much better after the editing.

Till we meet again.

Quote of the day: Don't worry, Be happy :)

My Interpretation of Life

Wow, three entries in a day. However, I suppose words can’t describe perfectly what I am feeling. Though, I’ll try my best to make it as sincere as possible.

Here goes:
There is a reason why I decided to write this entry. For almost a year living in Cyberjaya campus, I can’t seem to move on. Maybe I am stuck in this particular time zone and cannot walk out of it. I hate changes. I remembered vividly when it’s time to enter MMU Malacca campus. I am filled with mixed emotions; fear, excitement, sad, and so many others. I am sad to leave my secondary school friends, but excited to see what lies ahead in the future. I feared to make changes.

Soon, after I eventually managed to cope with the new environment, things went well. Thank god for that! I made new friends and led a happy life. As they say, when humans lived together, there’s sure to be conflicts and controversies. It is undeniable fights, conflicts and controversies do occur, but we put those differences aside to overcome whatever that comes our way. Along the way, here is a list of people I really treasured in my life as they made my stay in Malacca campus a memorable one (in no particular order the hostel residents):

-Nik
-Meisiem (in Cyberjaya now)
-Yee Chian
-Yunn Jiuan
-Wayne
-Kak Nora
-Kak Fiza
-Kak Alia
-Kak Mira
-Kak Icun
-Abang Syafiq
-Faris
-TY
-Bala
-Sheel
-Darrel
-Guan Hao & his roommate, Wai Yan
-Kah Yan
-Wenn Yit (in Cyberjaya also, but seldom meet each other mainly due to different faculty)
-Nicole Seow

Even Mr. Meor and Kak Nora (hostel officer) are good and friendly.

One year passed by real fast and it’s time for me to say goodbye to Malacca campus. I had made my decision to further on my studies in Cyberjaya campus which I always hope to be as good as before. Somehow, when I am in Cyberjaya, I am not coping really well or perhaps, I refused to change. I wanted to be in the comfort zone that I have been in all this while, Malacca. I have read somewhere; people are constantly going through changes, then where are my changes? It appears to me that I am not changing, but I don’t know from others point of view though from my view on other people, I sensed tremendous changes going on around them – pursuing popularity, trying to excel by using other smartasses as stepping stone, and backstabbing routines. It is all so obvious. I can’t live a day as carefree as those in Malacca. Even when I am trying to stay neutral, people will just drag me along with their conflicts. Anyway, I really hope that after this one week break, I might be able to fit in as life goes on.

Kenangan terindah.
To all my friends in Malacca, you will be remembered 4ever!
Missing each and every one of you!

Disclaimer!

Dear accuser(s),

Just stop throwing me with false accusations. You’re not me therefore you don’t know me. Stop spreading false statements about me to other people. I am just a university student trying to lead a life like any other normal university student out there. Just leave me out of your world which is obviously full of controversies. Well, in case you did not notice, I am currently having a one week midterm break, so I hope to lead a neutral life once I start my new week. To be honest, I might appear weird, or whatsoever you can call me, but do not interpret me. As aforementioned in my previous entry, I gave mysterious feeling, and I know you people out there love to interpret this. Such sensitive being(s). Please, please better update yourselves on the juiciest gossips revolving around celebrities you like (My advice: watch Channel 712 on Astro Variety package, E! It's much more entertaining!). I DOUBT. This is because people often misinterpreted my messages. When I meant good, people will take it as bad. When I am dead serious, people think of it as a joke. Many times (not once), people interpreted my messages wrongly and revealed the wrongly interpreted messages causing my reputation to be in jeopardy. Somehow, little do we know, humans often think they are smarter than other humans, know more than other humans…(the list goes on). Perhaps, I do give people a mysterious feeling. One thing is I don’t usually reveal my thoughts because some things are better kept unknown fearing another case of misinterpreted message. There might be a whole lot more at stake.

Here, I would like to comment on my previous entry: Trustee/Truster. To be frank, it is purely based on inspiration. Unfortunately, I just found out recently that what I wrote was a perfect fit to one of my situation which was a bad thing. Opps! Too much information, I can’t reveal till the time is right. I encountered various incidents in my daily life that I can link to the word 'trust'.

One (or maybe just me) might question:

(On April Fool Day) Should I trust my friends, whilst fearing whether things they convey are solely a prank or not?

(On being introduce to a new product) Should I trust the quality of it? Does it work superbly on my face (in this case facial foam, perhaps)?

(On gambling, especially when playing Black Jack) Should I trust my instinct to take five cards to earn a triple payback? What will the next card be?

(On sharing personal information) Is my friend trustworthy enough to keep my secrets?

(On losing virginity, in this case that doesn't really apply to me) Is he going to marry me after I gave him sex? What if he doesn't? Should I trust him? What can I do to claim back my virginity?

I still remember clearly coming across some Windows Live Messenger personal message that roughly sounded like this:

"Trust no one but yourself."

"When you feel like you can trust someone, betrayal start to occur."

No doubt there are more scenarios out there that require one to think rationally in order to trust something or someone. To trust, we need skills and experiences. It is a risk to take as betrayal can occur in any circumstances. To be frank, I myself had seen much of betrayal than happy ending when practicing 'trust'. So, be sure to take calculated risk to avoid being hurt by your own decision.

Disclaimer: No sarcasm intended.

XoXo
Kelv T.

Jmpr

Jmpr stands for Jumper.

I was in TGV Sunway Pyramid yesterday to watch AVP2 with Ben when I notice this upcoming new movie "Jumper". The trailer is good, but I know trailer can be deceiving. Things can always be too good to be true. Well, I guess I will have to wait for it to release and see if it's worth my money.

The casts of Jumper are awesome to me. I am always a fan of Hayden Christensen's acting since he acted in Star Wars and Life as a House. Then we have Rachel Bilson. If you're fanatic over The O.C. then you'll know who she is - Summer Roberts. The next in line will be Jamie Bell. No doubt he is popular during his time in Billy Elliot followed by King Kong. He is also the guy in Green Day's video Wake Me up When September Ends. Samuel L. Jackson also starred in this movie.

Jumper is basically about this guy David that has the ability to teleport. A movie will be boring without some action, so we have the people that hunt down those jumpers.

Here is an excerpt of the synopsis courtesy of Apple Trailer:

"A genetic anomaly allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between "Jumpers" and those who have sworn to kill them."

I can't wait for it to be release and I'll definitely head to the cinema for it.

Holiday

I got nothing better to do so I decided to play around with photoshop. Here (on top) is something I sort of make out of it. It's a bit simple.

***

So, I drove to cyber from my house in Putra Heights yesterday. LOL! Actually, this is my first time so it is some kind of accomplishment for me. All of this just to register for MUET. How pathetic!

By the way, I want to declare that:

"HOLIDAY MODE ACTIVATED for three weeks."

This means no more poring into books which is what I did during study weeks. Semester 2 had been extremely unbearable since we need to know everything in just mere seven weeks, as usual. I am so glad that it is over and am seriously looking forward to fill my holidays with activities. As far as I know, holidays can also be boring. So, I'll try my best to make it worthwhile this time around. Perhaps a New Year resolution: to make every holiday in 2008 a meaningful one. Hmm...a good one. Lol.

I think I should step foot into malls and cinemas pretty soon. It's been like ages I haven't been in touch with both the malls and the cinemas due to hectic schedule. Besides, I think I will also spend more time exploring photoshop (my so called latest amusement) as well as getting a healthier me. Here, I wan to emphasize that I am not saying I am previously unhealthy. It is just that I haven't really been exercising much. I used to love jogging back in my hometown. People do think that I gained a pound or two.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what I manage to do then.

Tagged 1.0

I got tagged by Goch, so here it goes. Perhaps the shape of her face matches mine :-p

3. Misha Omar! At least I have the Malaysian blood in me for resembling a local artist. Speaking of her, she is one of my favourite local singer of all time...Bunga-bunga cinta~~Layu di pusaran.

4. Takeshi Kaneshiro! WOW with a capital letter. To be able to resemble him for 67% is so great. I am so flattered.

5. Mika Nakashima... She is one of my favourite jap artist, portraying Nana based on a manga of the same name and singing the theme song Glamorous Sky...she is sizzling hot!

6. Takuya Kimura... I remember him. He is the actor of japanese drama "Long Vacation" which was aired on TV3 ages ago. I vividly recall seeing him as the face of Levi's too once when I was walking around shopping complexes back in my schooling days. Maybe one day I can be Levi's ambassador as well. Who knows?! >.<

7. Michelle Williams! She is the star of Dawson's Creek and also a brokeback hottie. I adore her acting skills during Dawson's Creek as Jen Lindley. Plus, she gave an outstanding, highly emotional performance in Brokeback Mountain. I wonder which part of me looks like her...

8. Sho Sakurai? I totally got no idea who he is.

Anyway, do try this fun thing.

Randomness Rants

Since I already logged in to customize the layout of my blog, I can't help myself not to write something down. I am currently procrastinating to write an entry perhaps due to lack of inspiration.

Besides, my sleeping time had been getting way out of hand. Assignments and all the workloads I have been getting (not to mention outings) just turn me into a zombie lurking into the night. Yes, that is so true or maybe...not. I guess it is the latter. I might be the one getting hunted by zombies. You see, I have been doing assignments at my friend's house in Cyberia and walked all the way back to campus after midnight. The latest would be about 4 am. As the gate to the guy's dorm (trying to sound a bit 'standard') is closed after 1 am, I have to walk all the way back using a long, dark, deserted way. Scary sial!!!

I am glad all the sleepless nights poring into assignments are over for now but I still can't get my sleeping habit to be back to the way it has been before. Looks like I have to get used to being a night owl until everything appears right. Looking at the bright side, not sleeping through the wee hours actually gives me time to explore Adobe Photoshop. It will be my latest amusement in the mean time.

Today is also 25th December so, Merry X'Mas everyone.

Things I like about Christmas are the carols as well as snow (it's summer in Australia and Malaysia don't have snow but it's still something to talk about when it comes to Christmas) to name a few. I have always wanted to try the "kissing under the mistletoe tradition" too. (perhaps one day :P)

*******************************************
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Silent night, holy night,
Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight,
Hark! I felt like swearing every single rude word I can think of at that particular person. That person is such a pain in the ass. Damn it. I can't even study and complete my assignment which is due on Monday because of that person.

I know it is indeed my responsibility that I took the job, but please appreciate what I had to offer. I know I am not a professional in your eyes, but at least give me some utter respect. Even if you don't like what I did, you can just spit it out in front of my face (I don't mind getting my face all wet because of your saliva). Do not...I repeat, Do not ever call other people to finish my not-professional-in-your-eyes-job!!!!

Ok. First, I have to clarify that I am not someone that cannot handle criticism. Bring it on!!! If you want to critic, please do it. I can change because I know I am not perfect. Can you imagine out of sudden you receive your own work but being upgraded to something that doesn't belong to you?Where is my originality? I must admit that what I done look ordinary if compared to the upgraded version. So sue me. You can tell me politely and nicely instead of calling other people to fix it.

I felt so much better now. Thanks to my dear blog and Michael Buble's Home which Westlife cover their own version of it for their latest album. All this just cheer me up.

Kelvin signed off at 3.37 AM

Can you see what I see?

Hello all, I know I have been idle from blogging since like forever. Well, the wait is over. The fact is that I got so many things to write about but I just can't force myself to do so. Most probably it's due to my utter laziness. I better get my “lazy ass” to work. On the other hand, to think of it, disappearance of me for some time and come back, that would be a superb fun thing to do. We see most of the time in the entertainment industries, artistes come and go like nobody’s business.

***

There is this thing I noticed today during my class in XR1005 for Digital Logic Design. As you can see in this picture, the particular two rows are empty while others are fully occupied with students. To me, this is very odd so I decided to post it here. We were sort of joking about seeing people there. Creepy!

One funny thing I saw in the picture was the fact that I can see students dozing off in class. All I can say is: who doesn't? Some people might know what I am trying to emphasize here so I better not further my elaboration as I do not wish to be sued by anyone particularly *tut*. The hint: you aLready know who is thAt.

Till my next post.

Kelvin signed off......

Another Week To Remember

"Everytime I wanted to update my blog, I just felt extremely that I drafted what exactly I wanted to write without completing this entry. I do hope I can finish this entry a.s.a.p" -Kelv-

So, last week was my first week of Semester 2. It is the time again to study in order to pass another semester. I am not thrilled at all by the fact that I will be leaving KT back to the campus in Cyberjaya. Well, I have to face it anyway since I am a student and my 'job' is indeed to study. My first day of class started off with Electronics 2 at 12 pm followed by Digital Logic Design. Then, my last class ended at 7 pm which is Malaysian Studies.

Here is the best part, after class, we went to play pool at Prima Avenue or so (it is usually called Old Town by us so I wasn't really sure about the name). As a first-timer, I totally blew it. Pool is not as easy as it seems when I play it on Yahoo! Games. Anyway, I had fun and it was such a great experience. After pool, we had a nice dinner at Padi which is beside the Old Town Cafe.

The following days were as usual until Thursday which was a public holiday: Deepavali. Happy-so-called-'belated'-Deepavali!!!! I went to Seri Kembangan for dinner and dropped by McD to indulge in my favourite dessert: McFlurry with Oreo. Surprisingly, I saw Andy there. Too bad we only managed to wave at each other.

On Friday, I am stoked as it was the time to go back to my home in Selangor. This time, instead of my sister fetching me from campus, I went to her (literally). My destination: One Utama. From there, she fetches me after work. So, my journey started when I finished my class at 4.30 pm. I was at the bus stop at 5 pm and the bus arrived 30 minutes after that. I had to go to Putrajaya Sentral and change another bus directly to One Utama there. I guess I wasn't in my good luck that day. There were no seats left for me as the last one was taken by a guy in Blue shirt with Black Body Glove sling bag (I am so remembering that). I had to be the last guy standing and I felt that I went red on the face out of embarrassment. Luckily, I got myself a seat during the Tesco Puchong stop.

***

After just mere five days in Cyberjaya, I started to get bored. Thankfully, I AM HOME AT LAST. The next day which was Saturday, I went to Sunway Pyramid with my sister and her friends to watch Bee Movie. The movie was not bad. Oh, I just realized that Sunway Pyramid 2 finally completed.

Now, I am back again to Cyberjaya typing away to complete this entry. For lunch today, I went to Pizza Hut with my friends in Seri Kembangan. We managed to come back on time at 5 pm for Malaysia Studies class.

E.N.D. What have I been up to lately? Hmm… let’s see: Sleeping, eating, and daydreaming my way towards the end of holiday. I am going back to KL on the 3rd and back to campus on the 4th which is around the corner. There goes my three weeks of holiday and about two weeks in Terengganu.

After so long not being in Terengganu, it is pleasant to be back. I finally see development around the town; now we have Giant, Secret Recipe, McD to name a few. How corny to say that about more than eleven years of my life here, we never really have a proper hang out spot. Don’t get me wrong, what I am trying to imply here is that I lead different lifestyles from my other-state-university-friends where shopping malls, cinemas might be their ideal place to hang out. I remembered vividly one of my favourite hang out spot is the beach. Yes, we east coast people love beaches. By the way, speaking of development, even the road back to my house undergoes some slight changes.

As I am going to start new semester soon, my results is indeed out. Thankfully, I passed. Well, enough said. There goes my short and sweet entry.

Happy Halloween!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ordinary-iewhot.blogspot.com/2007/11/end-extremely-nothing-days.html' title='E.N.D. First and foremost, the reason this entry is entitled "BLOG 1.0" is because this is some sort of my comeback entry. My quote of the day:"I love making comebacks, after disappearing for so long". Anyway, I would like to restart what I had left untouched for so long. (perhaps not that long, just a few months). Currently I am having my three weeks semester break. Phew...what a hectic life it had been for the past couple of months. Not to mention, I am anxiously waiting for my results (praying so hard that I will pass everything).

I only got two weeks left of holidays so I hope and intend to enjoy it to the fullest. I guess it's time to mention something apart from my 'comeback speech'. Last week, I went to Bangkok, Thailand in order to get away from all the hustle and bustle surrounding me. Although it was a short visit, it is such an exciting experience for me. To those who don't know me that well, I am indeed an avid fan of the Thai cultures, entertainments as well as the people. I am looking forward to make another visit there if I have another chance.

As I mention, my visit to Bangkok was a short one. I spent two days just for shopping and I still hadn't had enough of it. I must say, Bangkok is one shopping heaven. I can't even shop the whole mall in one day. The two malls I went are the MBK Center (something like Sungai Wang, Lot 10 etc. in Malaysia, just that it's tenfold bigger than those malls) and the Siam Paragon (the largest mall in Bangkok). Coincidently, outside Siam Paragon, TVXQ (a popular Korean boy band) was doing press conference for their upcoming concert in Bangkok. Wow. The crowd was overwhelming (if that is the perfect word to describe them...I am not so sure).

Besides shopping, I went sightseeing and visited the Grand Palace. The palace is enormous and what amazed me the most besides the architecture of the buildings, the paintings on the wall are THE EMERALD BUDDHA. Too bad the weather wasn't all that good. It is the rainy season now in Bangkok. The floor was wet and dirty yet I barefooted in order to enter The Royal Monastery of the Emerald Buddha. What an experience!

As all good things always comes to an end, it is the time to say goodbye to lovely Bangkok (I loved everything about Bangkok except for the unbearable traffic jam revolving that place). Last thing I see before I head home to Malaysia: the Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is a new airport replacing the previous Don Muang International Airport.

***

Yesterday, I went shopping at The Curve. I am starting to suspect that I now 'mutated' into a shopaholic. I met Emily in Ikea when I went to grab some snacks (Ikea served the best curry puff and hot dog in my opinion).

There goes my life during the first week of semester break. I am going back KT soon enough which I have been looking forward to it.

Updates Coming Soon

New layout and post coming right up!...hopefully after I finish two more of my papers for finals.

~iewhot~

| S | A | H | I | B | B | A |

1. Bravo to all of you!!! Most of them are going back tomorrow while I am stuck here with two more subjects - Introduction to Probability and Statistics as well as Chemistry for Engineers. After this semester, I will be going to MMU Cyberjaya campus (let's hope I can pass all my subjects this semester). So, I guess I will not be seeing you guys anytime soon (Wayne, Yee Chian, Kah Yan, Sheel...to name a few). Here, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you the best in your future undertakings. Stay cool!!! Be sure to argue...hehe...

Wayne, make sure you enhance your debating skills. The next time I see you, hope you can finally make me stop and surrender for once. Stay with your dream of getting Four Flat or Dean's List. Study more and online less...

Yee Chian, my friend from Dungun, Terengganu. I am very glad to know you when I came here during the hostel orientation. Although it comes to an end, I know there will be opportunity to see you again. Don't forget to visit me in Terengganu. Hehe...who knows, I might come back for your event (free ticket for me, ok?).

Kah Yan and Sheel, I doubt that both of you will read my blog, but still, nice knowing both of you. I am looking forward to both of you being successful lawyers...in fact, all of you will be successful lawyers someday...no doubt about that.

I will be looking forward to meeting all of you again in the near future. Friend's forever and do keep in touch.

P/s: No offence, but i know you law people are very particular over grammars and spelling errors. Let’s spice things up in my blog. Based on the title, I am currently addicted to rock songs. I am so obsessed with songs by Daughtry. The lead singer is none other than American Idol 5 finalist, Chris Daughtry. The band released their self-titled debut album via RCA Records in 2006. The first single, ‘It’s Not Over’, really caught my attention.

“Li…thi…um…Li…thi…um…,” sang Amy Lee. This is a new song by Evanescence (I hope I got the spelling correct) entitled ‘Lithium’. I have been watching MTV or Channel V constantly, and this particular music video kept being aired. Now, as if my mind is an Ipod, kept repeating the Amy Lee’s version of the word Lithium. I might not need to study Chemistry for Engineers anymore next semester to know that ‘Li’ stands for Lithium. Ha-ha.

Ever heard of Almost by Bowling of Soup? Well, that is their previous creation. Their latest is ‘High School Never Ends’. In my opinion, this song is very ‘cheeky’ since they are comparing high school life with life after that. I have included an excerpt of the lyric, and it will explain everything:

“Reese Witherspoon,
She’s the prom queen
Bill Gates,
Captain of the chess team
Jack Black, the clown
Brad Pitt, the quarterback
Seen it all before
I want my money back!!”

Next, I also fell in love with the song ‘How to Save a Life’ by The Fray. I did a background check on this band since they seem new to me. They are actually a band based in Denver, Colorado. Their debut album was certified Double Platinum by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). I am looking forward to other tracks from their album.

Well, I guess these are a few rock songs which are my current ‘addiction’. I am definitely going to check out more rock songs in the near future. Till then, rock on!!!

~iewhot~

Nelly: Why do all good things come to an end?

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
~Nelly Furtado, All Good Things (Come To An End)~

All good things come to an end. This statement absolutely holds true since holiday will be over in a few days time. Then I will be back to study, study, and more study. I had drafted whatever installed for me in semester 3.

First and foremost, the lab report either it is a weekly report or a full report; it will be an utterly troublesome experience in my opinion. Then, there will be quizzes which made me suffering from butterfly in my stomach each and every time I cannot answer them. Assignments will be piling up as tall as the Petronas Twin Tower (well, maybe I am exaggerating), and due dates to be obey. Not to mention four tutorials classes every week.

There will also be group works such as the highly anticipated drama presentation for English III. Finding a group is already hard, working as a team is even harder I must say where we need to cooperate and to tolerate with each other. In addition to all the stress will definitely be the mid- term. Furthermore, I will be seeing new faces since PE12 will be joining in for the Applied Mathematics class. I am waiting to see what will happen during this quite interesting subject. As for my co-curriculum, I will be getting my parts in organizing the Career Fair 2007.

Here, I would also add a response to the debate of whether to study smart or study hard. From my point of view, a combination of both is so vital when I am in a university. Some people made a comment about semester 2 that it was an easy semester since most of them scored a GPA of 4. To me, semester 2 is neither easy nor hard. It is something in between; Calculus is hard while Physics II is slightly easier than Physics I (I decided to leave English II out of this comparison). Lastly, I am very looking forward to the last semester of my Foundation year.

~iewhot~

Tatloapatpipo at Tatlosiyamwalo

The wait is finally over. Yes, OVER! Of course I mean the wait for the actual result of semester two. I felt this sudden urge to write about it. So, I am going to make this post a short one. What is my CGPA? What is my GPA? I guess some people out there knew so I will not reveal it here. Four or not, I am overall satisfied with what I had achieved because I knew all my effort is there.

Now that semester three is just around the corner, the stakes are definitely towering. The pressure is so on. With six subjects to handle in just about fourteen weeks, I might have to stay up until the wee hours, poring over thick textbooks, or notes. I must admit that I am having mix feelings about the upcoming semester: happy, sad, and nervous. In short, I am happy to go back Malacca, sad to leave Terengganu, and nervous to start a new semester.

Lastly, before signing out, something to say to all my friends:
SEE YOU SOON AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE UPCOMING SEMESTER!!!

~iewhot~

Days-ies

Here I am again crapping my way through my ‘almost dead’ blog. Maybe I should start with an anecdote. There is this guy currently having three weeks holiday and suffering from a disease called bored-to-death-om. Oh, well! The guy is actually me and obviously the disease is a mere creation to describe the state I am in now. Mind me; I have gone all crappy due to boredom.

To date, I have almost one week left of holiday since next semester starts on the 29th of January, 2007 and will be going back to Malacca on the 27th of January, 2007. What am I doing all this while? My current obsession is definitely sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating (Opps! I guess my brain turned ‘rusty’ and ‘dusty’ since I haven’t been making good use with it), surfing the net, and watching television.

Although these past two weeks were boring, my crave towards mouth-watering dishes prepared by mum as well as the local delicacies of Terengganu is finally over. I can now eat to my appetite without worrying of getting F-A-T (Again, a mistake, I forgotten to mention that I am constantly exercising as well). Besides that, I went bowling once too with my friends.

As for now, I am still me. Perhaps, the only difference in me is that I am equipped with renewed energy which is adequate for Semester 3 and owned a shorter hair than before the semester break. I will try to make use of the days left of my holiday to gear up. Currently, I am also waiting for the actual results of Semester 2 since I have seen the ‘unofficial’ one.

Before this post, I had a draft of something that was on my mind at that precise moment but it seems unfinished to put it up. So, I will try to get it done if I am in the right mood or let it unfinished forever. I guess that is all - a piece of my thought to keep my blog going.

Note: The title is so irrelevant, but my rusted brain just doesn't come out with anything creative. All I know is that it rhymes with ‘daisies’. 'ies' can also be 'in extremely slow-motion' since my time during holiday seems never-ending : p

~iewhot~

Don't Want to be Lonely No More

*Lights off*
Lying on my bed, out of the blue, I felt that I am actually missing my parents and my siblings. I don't know why I get such a feeling, but I just do.

Lonely I'm Mr Lonely,
I have nobody,
For my own,
~Lonely, Akon~

Memories and the song flashed through my mind. So, here I am now in front of my laptop trying to spill some emotions.

It had been almost two months I had not seen both my parents. Although I talked occasionally to them on the phone, the feeling is just so not equivalent to facing them face to face. I misses everything from my mom's mouth-watering dishes to her complain about how super messy my room was.

"A bit of flashback…..
Before I went to bed just now, I am cleaning my room. My room was all messed up due to the fact that I am lazy to clean it up. Plus, the finals are just around the corner. My notes were all over the place, and not to mention, the laundry piling up. If my mom is here, my room will not be that messy after all. SERIOUSLY!"

This year, I don't even get the chance of making as well as eating 'tong yuen' unlike previous years. To be truthful, I not only misses my family, but I am missing a whole lot more namely my room (the one in Terengganu), the television (I can't view my favourite drama series anymore on Astro Channel 30 and 70), and the local delicacies of Terengganu (nasi dagang, kerepok lekor).

For now, I can only sing:

Cause I don't want to be lonely no more

I don't want to feel empty no more

Only you could unbreak this heartache I've carried around

Don't wanna be lonely no more, no more
~Clay Aiken, Lonely No More~

Better days begin in year 2007, Goodbye 2006

Ohh I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you
~Hurt, Christina Aguilera~

Here is my first blog entry after about a year I stopped blogging. Sitting here staring at the screen of my laptop, I can’t help but to think that time flies. In a blink of an eye, today is the last day of 2006. Many good as well as bad things had happened back at the beginning of 2006 until now. Maybe I should highlight whichever events that I remember vividly throughout the year of 2006:

Goodbye U-N-I-F-O-R-M!
After SPM, I am indeed a happy guy. Say goodbye to the olive green pants, white shirts, and white shoes once and for all! After 11 years of wearing uniforms (excluding kindergarten), I can OFFICIALLY declare an extreme makeover. Maybe not that extreme, but I can drop the so called school-boy-look I had been ‘wearing’ for years.

SPM results out?
I had been complaining that my days are boring ever since I finished my SPM without realizing the results day arriving. The truth is finally out. It is time for me to face the reality. My results were actually ok (only three B3), but maybe I am a bit disappointed as a lot of my close friends scored straight A's.

The other side of me; I dyed my hair
This is supposed to be before the SPM results. My hair was golden orange in colour at this time. It actually matched my complexion and facial features very well. Then, there goes the highly anticipated Chinese New Year. There was this incident which I regretted so badly. I don't really know what came into me. To think again, I am acting childish at that particular moment. Here is how it goes:

We were having one family gathering which includes my family, my aunties and my uncles as well as all my cousins in this restaurant somewhere in the city of KL. There were not enough seats for me to sit with my cousins and siblings, so I was assigned to sit with my aunties and uncles including my parents on the next table. I actually burst with anger on the spot and stormed out. Long story short, I am indeed in great embarrassment to show that kind of attitude. STUPID ME....

I obtained a driving license
I am officially eligible to drive. Yay me!! In the midst of waiting for my SPM results, I went for driving course. It was sort of unbearable because the instructors were showing all kinds of attitude and complaining about how bad I am driving. But, who cares as those days were now history.

Me entering MMU (Multimedia University), Malacca
On June 10th 2006, I stepped into my university life. I am currently pursuing Foundation in Engineering. I managed to go through the first semester after having quite some hard time adjusting to the new environment. At the end of the semester, I obtained trusty friends which are still with me to battle the upcoming semesters and days.

Ok, I am now striving for my final examination of Semester 2 which will begin in three more days. In this semester, I got the chance to try Malacca’s famous food namely “Satay Celup” and “Taiwan Mee”. In addition, there is also a most memorable day - MY SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY. Thanks to all my best buddies in MMU, they organized a surprise birthday party for me two days earlier (4th December which is suppose to be Julian’s birthday) in Plaza Siswa. Indeed, I am shocked and speechless at that time. I am never going to forget the memorable birthday present you all got for me as well. Hehe. Last but not least, this year, I have some clashes with this particular friend. I hope to take this opportunity to say that I am truly sorry if I hurt your feelings and let’s just start over.

I should conclude that there are ups and downs for me in year 2006. I am looking forward for better days in year 2007. My new year's resolutions? Well, simple! I just hope to be a better person and have a better attitude. I will also try to study hard and smart to get good CGPAs in the near future.

~HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS~
