Hey all. First and foremost, the reason this entry is entitled "BLOG 1.0" is because this is some sort of my comeback entry. My quote of the day:"I love making comebacks, after disappearing for so long". Anyway, I would like to restart what I had left untouched for so long. (perhaps not that long, just a few months). Currently I am having my three weeks semester break. Phew...what a hectic life it had been for the past couple of months. Not to mention, I am anxiously waiting for my results (praying so hard that I will pass everything).
I only got two weeks left of holidays so I hope and intend to enjoy it to the fullest. I guess it's time to mention something apart from my 'comeback speech'. Last week, I went to Bangkok, Thailand in order to get away from all the hustle and bustle surrounding me. Although it was a short visit, it is such an exciting experience for me. To those who don't know me that well, I am indeed an avid fan of the Thai cultures, entertainments as well as the people. I am looking forward to make another visit there if I have another chance.
As I mention, my visit to Bangkok was a short one. I spent two days just for shopping and I still hadn't had enough of it. I must say, Bangkok is one shopping heaven. I can't even shop the whole mall in one day. The two malls I went are the MBK Center (something like Sungai Wang, Lot 10 etc. in Malaysia, just that it's tenfold bigger than those malls) and the Siam Paragon (the largest mall in Bangkok). Coincidently, outside Siam Paragon, TVXQ (a popular Korean boy band) was doing press conference for their upcoming concert in Bangkok. Wow. The crowd was overwhelming (if that is the perfect word to describe them...I am not so sure).
Besides shopping, I went sightseeing and visited the Grand Palace. The palace is enormous and what amazed me the most besides the architecture of the buildings, the paintings on the wall are THE EMERALD BUDDHA. Too bad the weather wasn't all that good. It is the rainy season now in Bangkok. The floor was wet and dirty yet I barefooted in order to enter The Royal Monastery of the Emerald Buddha. What an experience!
As all good things always comes to an end, it is the time to say goodbye to lovely Bangkok (I loved everything about Bangkok except for the unbearable traffic jam revolving that place). Last thing I see before I head home to Malaysia: the Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is a new airport replacing the previous Don Muang International Airport.
***
Yesterday, I went shopping at The Curve. I am starting to suspect that I now 'mutated' into a shopaholic. I met Emily in Ikea when I went to grab some snacks (Ikea served the best curry puff and hot dog in my opinion).
There goes my life during the first week of semester break. I am going back KT soon enough which I have been looking forward to it.

Farewell
Wayne, make sure you enhance your debating skills. The next time I see you, hope you can finally make me stop and surrender for once. Stay with your dream of getting Four Flat or Dean's List. Study more and online less...
Yee Chian, my friend from Dungun, Terengganu. I am very glad to know you when I came here during the hostel orientation. Although it comes to an end, I know there will be opportunity to see you again. Don't forget to visit me in Terengganu. Hehe...who knows, I might come back for your event (free ticket for me, ok?).
Kah Yan and Sheel, I doubt that both of you will read my blog, but still, nice knowing both of you. I am looking forward to both of you being successful lawyers...in fact, all of you will be successful lawyers someday...no doubt about that.
I will be looking forward to meeting all of you again in the near future. Friend's forever and do keep in touch.
P/s: No offence, but i know you law people are very particular over grammars and spelling errors. Please don't criticize me if there are mistakes :P

Rockaddiction
“Li…thi…um…Li…thi…um…,” sang Amy Lee. This is a new song by Evanescence (I hope I got the spelling correct) entitled ‘Lithium’. I have been watching MTV or Channel V constantly, and this particular music video kept being aired. Now, as if my mind is an Ipod, kept repeating the Amy Lee’s version of the word Lithium. I might not need to study Chemistry for Engineers anymore next semester to know that ‘Li’ stands for Lithium. Ha-ha.
Ever heard of Almost by Bowling of Soup? Well, that is their previous creation. Their latest is ‘High School Never Ends’. In my opinion, this song is very ‘cheeky’ since they are comparing high school life with life after that. I have included an excerpt of the lyric, and it will explain everything:
“Reese Witherspoon,
She’s the prom queen
Bill Gates,
Captain of the chess team
Jack Black, the clown
Brad Pitt, the quarterback
Seen it all before
I want my money back!!”
Next, I also fell in love with the song ‘How to Save a Life’ by The Fray. I did a background check on this band since they seem new to me. They are actually a band based in Denver, Colorado. Their debut album was certified Double Platinum by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). I am looking forward to other tracks from their album.
Well, I guess these are a few rock songs which are my current ‘addiction’. I am definitely going to check out more rock songs in the near future. Till then, rock on!!!

Nelly: Why do all good things come to an end?
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
~Nelly Furtado, All Good Things (Come To An End)~
All good things come to an end. This statement absolutely holds true since holiday will be over in a few days time. Then I will be back to study, study, and more study. I had drafted whatever installed for me in semester 3.
First and foremost, the lab report either it is a weekly report or a full report; it will be an utterly troublesome experience in my opinion. Then, there will be quizzes which made me suffering from butterfly in my stomach each and every time I cannot answer them. Assignments will be piling up as tall as the Petronas Twin Tower (well, maybe I am exaggerating), and due dates to be obey. Not to mention four tutorials classes every week.
There will also be group works such as the highly anticipated drama presentation for English III. Finding a group is already hard, working as a team is even harder I must say where we need to cooperate and to tolerate with each other. In addition to all the stress will definitely be the mid- term. Furthermore, I will be seeing new faces since PE12 will be joining in for the Applied Mathematics class. I am waiting to see what will happen during this quite interesting subject. As for my co-curriculum, I will be getting my parts in organizing the Career Fair 2007.
Here, I would also add a response to the debate of whether to study smart or study hard. From my point of view, a combination of both is so vital when I am in a university. Some people made a comment about semester 2 that it was an easy semester since most of them scored a GPA of 4. To me, semester 2 is neither easy nor hard. It is something in between; Calculus is hard while Physics II is slightly easier than Physics I (I decided to leave English II out of this comparison). Lastly, I am very looking forward to the last semester of my Foundation year.

Tatloapatpipo at Tatlosiyamwalo
Now that semester three is just around the corner, the stakes are definitely towering. The pressure is so on. With six subjects to handle in just about fourteen weeks, I might have to stay up until the wee hours, poring over thick textbooks, or notes. I must admit that I am having mix feelings about the upcoming semester: happy, sad, and nervous. In short, I am happy to go back Malacca, sad to leave Terengganu, and nervous to start a new semester.
Lastly, before signing out, something to say to all my friends:
SEE YOU SOON AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE UPCOMING SEMESTER!!!

Days-ies
To date, I have almost one week left of holiday since next semester starts on the 29th of January, 2007 and will be going back to Malacca on the 27th of January, 2007. What am I doing all this while? My current obsession is definitely sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating (Opps! I guess my brain turned ‘rusty’ and ‘dusty’ since I haven’t been making good use with it), surfing the net, and watching television.
Although these past two weeks were boring, my crave towards mouth-watering dishes prepared by mum as well as the local delicacies of Terengganu is finally over. I can now eat to my appetite without worrying of getting F-A-T (Again, a mistake, I forgotten to mention that I am constantly exercising as well). Besides that, I went bowling once too with my friends.
As for now, I am still me. Perhaps, the only difference in me is that I am equipped with renewed energy which is adequate for Semester 3 and owned a shorter hair than before the semester break. I will try to make use of the days left of my holiday to gear up. Currently, I am also waiting for the actual results of Semester 2 since I have seen the ‘unofficial’ one.
Before this post, I had a draft of something that was on my mind at that precise moment but it seems unfinished to put it up. So, I will try to get it done if I am in the right mood or let it unfinished forever. I guess that is all - a piece of my thought to keep my blog going.
Note: The title is so irrelevant, but my rusted brain just doesn't come out with anything creative. All I know is that it rhymes with ‘daisies’. 'ies' can also be 'in extremely slow-motion' since my time during holiday seems never-ending : p

Don't Want to be Lonely No More
Lying on my bed, out of the blue, I felt that I am actually missing my parents and my siblings. I don't know why I get such a feeling, but I just do.
Lonely I'm Mr Lonely,
I have nobody,
For my own,
~Lonely, Akon~
Memories and the song flashed through my mind. So, here I am now in front of my laptop trying to spill some emotions.
It had been almost two months I had not seen both my parents. Although I talked occasionally to them on the phone, the feeling is just so not equivalent to facing them face to face. I misses everything from my mom's mouth-watering dishes to her complain about how super messy my room was.
"A bit of flashback…..
Before I went to bed just now, I am cleaning my room. My room was all messed up due to the fact that I am lazy to clean it up. Plus, the finals are just around the corner. My notes were all over the place, and not to mention, the laundry piling up. If my mom is here, my room will not be that messy after all. SERIOUSLY!"
This year, I don't even get the chance of making as well as eating 'tong yuen' unlike previous years. To be truthful, I not only misses my family, but I am missing a whole lot more namely my room (the one in Terengganu), the television (I can't view my favourite drama series anymore on Astro Channel 30 and 70), and the local delicacies of Terengganu (nasi dagang, kerepok lekor).
For now, I can only sing:
Cause I don't want to be lonely no more
~Clay Aiken, Lonely No More~
