First of all, I would like to introduce her. Recently cast as Mitchie Torres for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, she is Demi Lovato. She is only 15 years old, and she can definitely sing better than Miley Cyrus.
From left: Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas
Back to my title, Camp Rock as mentioned above is the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie. Besides Demi Lovato, it also starred teen pop sensation, The Jonas Brothers with Joe Jonas taking on the lead actor role. Just like High School Musical, Camp Rock is also a musical. I felt Camp Rock will be one of my favourite Disney Channel Original Movie. By just looking at the trailer, I just can't wait to watch it. From the trailer, I see that Joe and Demi are way more compatible compared to Zac and Vanessa in HSM. The chemistry is so obvious.
Once again, Disney never fails to cast a spell on me with their original movies.
Camp Rock will premiere on the 20th of June in the U.S.

An Encounter with Nature
I had been back for a few days now to Terengganu. Life seems to be a bit bored. Anyhow, I managed to enjoy some of the preserved natures that are obviously not available among the hustle and bustle of KL.
This is actually where the water tank is being built, but the surrounding is full of lush greenery and superb scenery.
The nice blue sky which is an absolute eye candy to me.
Below are a few of the plants that I found interesting. People might think those are just simple plants that are found everywhere, but how many of them actually appreciate what they are gifted with?
...
...
A rock? I guess you people will be thinking that I am indeed crazy for taking a picture of a rock. Maybe I am, maybe I am not. I am actually trying to emphasize on the fact that one rock like this is the basic building material of the house you are currently living in right now. In this modern and developing world where people seek for money, fame, and status, a rock means nothing to them. I believe the only 'rock' people are fascinated about are diamond, emerald and many other precious rocks plunging the neck or decorating the fingers of someone.
When I was there, the cooling gush of wind was very calming to me. It had been so long since I get the taste of the sea breeze. Besides, birds were flocking around the area.
As I am saving the best for last, this is my favourite part of the scenery.
Obviously, I did not forget to take my own picture there. =P
I really hope to create some awareness from this entry of mine. The beauty of nature is everywhere around us. We need to try our best to conserve it. Stop smoking! Stop open burning! Stop cutting down trees for your own profit! Sometimes, we even overlook certain basic details in our life due to distraction, including myself. I believe if we stop for a second or two to feel the natural surrounding, we will realise a lot from it.
Credit: To my parents for bringing me to such a place (for regular exercising) and to my camera phone that I managed to take some pictures worth noticing.

Dream Big
When I was a little boy.
I swore that I would change the world when I grew up.
Nothing else would be enough.
I see it everyday.
We settled for safe.
And lose ourselves along the way.
But if you don't dream big,
What's the use of dreaming?
If you don't have faith,
There's nothing worth believing.
It takes one look
To make the stars worth reaching for.
So reach out for something more.
It took a well perfected plan
For me to finally understand
That it's not me.
Faith is something you can't see.
I wiped my tears away.
Now its time for a change.
No I can't waste another day.
'Cause if you don't dream big,
What's the use of dreaming?
If you don't have faith
There's nothing worth believing.
It takes one look
To make the stars worth reaching for.
'Cause if you don't have faith,
What's the use of dreaming?
If you don't have faith
There's nothing worth believing.
It takes one look.
To make the stars worth reaching for.
So reach out for something more.
By David Cook
An inspiring song for me.

A Tribute
This is a tribute to one of my favourite Thailand singing sensation duo, Dan & Beam. As my friends might know, I am an avid fan of everything about Thai namely its culture, food, language and not to mention, the music industry there. I just found out couple of hours ago that Dan & Beam officially announced their separation to pursue solo career in November 2007. I know it is indeed very late for me to write this tribute entry, but pardon me; it is as hard for me to catch up on the Thailand music industry as to the incidents happening within Malaysia itself. Perhaps, I am too caught up with the everyday life in campus.
So, back to the separation news, the duo started off as a trio with another former member, Big with the name of D2B. It is quite saddening news because eventually Big caught in an accident that took away his life after D2B garnered quite a success in Thailand earning them the Favourite Artist Thailand in the 2003 MTV Asia Award. The future of D2B took a turning point when that accident happened after just merely releasing three albums. Big suffered for about four years including going into comatose following the accident in June 2003 until he finally passed on to the afterlife on the 9th of December 2007.
Here is a link about his death: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/2007/12/09/headlines/headlines_30058606.php
I supposed I should tell a bit of my story on how I got to know D2B since they are from Thailand while I am just a resident in Malaysia. As a child, I grew up with the influence about the music industry there from my sisters: those times we had television shows like "Asia Bagus" and certain "MTV show" that exposed us to Thailand music. I guess this is how I grew up to love Thailand and the music there leading me to knowing D2B through the internet as well. When I was in secondary school, somewhere in the year 2004 to 2005, I used to stay up late to watch Astro Prima for the Thai series or the Thais calls it 'lakorn' - Wai Rai High School and Wai Rai Freshy. Wai Rai Freshy starred two of D2B's members, Big and Dan. This makes me like the group even more. Besides, I remember coming across Big's news in the local newspaper.
Dan & Beam caught my attention once again when they released an album as a duo entitled "Dan & Beam: The Album” back in 2005. I even got a chance to watch one episode of Dan & Beam travel series when I was in Bangkok last year. To top it up, recently, Beam had been chosen as the ambassador of WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature).
Lastly, I would like to say that I am looking forward to seeing Dan and Beam as solo artistes and may Big rests in peace. All I can conclude from this is that separation is something necessary that we deal in everyday life - friends come and go, parents will soon leave us as we get older (this is something I do not wish to deal for time to come), and lovers go on separate ways. This is in fact the hardest thing to deal on in life even for me.
D2B, Dan & Beam forever.

Silence
Right... To start off, people said "silence is golden".
I don't think so.
Here is the reason why:
Currently I am partially deaf. That's probably the reason why I don't talk too much since last weekend. It's hard to hear what people are trying to tell me just by using one ear. Now, I think I got the feeling of how having hearing impairment can be a sad case. Though it's just my right ear that is stuck, it's enough to cause me headache and drive me crazy. Besides, I can't sleep yesterday night because of it. Maybe I am worried. I still need to use my ear for my upcoming MUET listening test. I can't imagine not being able to hear my favourite songs, and listen to voices around me. Well, I am looking forward to see the doctor real soon.
To me, "silence is deafening".

Gossip
Quote of the Day
"You're nobody until you're talked about"
XoXo,
Gossip Girl
Well, this is the scenario when people talk behind your back. I have to admit, I am one of the victim of gossip as well although I intended of staying neutral. People just can't stop talking because they are too free and got nothing better to do. Anyway, looking at the bright side, that quote just gives me hope. I believe this is one reason why I enjoyed watching Gossip Girl to the uttered maximum. I can't wait for more episodes to come.
*Gossip Girl will return on the 21st of April 2008 in the U.S. after going hiatus by having mere 13 episodes due to writer's strike while it will be premiering in Malaysia via 8tv on the 23rd of April 2008. Do watch it!*

Home
In my opinion, there had been an overusage of the word 'Home' in the music industry as song titles. So, I decided to google and here are a few popular ones I found.
"Home", by Diana Ross
"Home", by Daughtry
"Home", by Three Days Grace
"Home", by Michael Bublé
"Home", by Fools Garden
"Home", by Smash Mouth
"Home", by Sheryl Crow
"Home", by Alan Jackson
"Home", by Breaking Benjamin
"Home", by Katharine McPhee
"Home", by Bone Thugs-n-Harmony & Phil Collins
"Home", by Nine Inch Nails
"Home", by Foo Fighters
"Home", by Smashing Pumpkins
"Home," by 12 Stones
Anyway, this is not the main point. The main point is:
I am not in Terengganu though; I am just back to my crib in Selangor. Now, I can use the opportunity to watch as much television as I want. Besides, I can 'explore' the refrigerator for more foods as well as enjoying a hot water bath.
I am currently watching Idol Gives Back. Not bad. At least I enjoyed some of the performances especially the Top 8 singing Rihanna's Don't Stop the Music.
Will keep ya posted.

The End, The Leaked, The Premiered, The News, The Beginning - It's All A Part of Life
Yay... All the midterms are finally over!! Woohoo...Good or bad? I don't really care. Marks are just numbers anyway, skills are the most important after all - as taught by Mr. Siew Wee Ong during lab. So, besides studying, this week is kind of interesting to me.
First of all, I would gladly announced that Mariah's album, E=MC2 (Emancipation of Mariah Carey to the second power) which is slated for April 15th release unfortunately leaked to the internet. No doubt, I would be lying if I said that I haven't downloaded it for preview. Now, I can't seem to stop listening to it. Anyway, my sister's going to buy it soon so it would be a fair move that I download and she buys (a win-win situation I proclaim :P).
Next on my list is that Madonna and JT's new video "4 Minutes" premiered this week as well. To be honest, after seeing it, I have to admit that Madonna looked way younger than JT at 49. Maybe it was some sort of camera trick they used (I said maybe, I do not wish to be sued). Regarding the song, it was already in my list of current favourite.
This week of American Idol wasn't that overwhelming. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that I find it boring. I know everyone is busy preparing for Idol Gives Back but, please don't take things not seriously. The song choices made by the contestants don't trigger me into the excited mood which I usually have. In addition, my favourite contestants seem to get it all wrong giving way for the weaker contestant to shine. Most probably another shocking elimination will occur.
I guess it's time I come back to things happening within me. This week itself I got to know that my hostel application had been approved. I am very happy with that. The thing is, after doing my little research; I can't find anyone that I know getting the hostel. How am I supposed to get myself two roomates? I guess I just have to wait and see who I am assigned to.
In contrary to my hostel application, I attended the 5 to 6 pm class for Electronics on last Tuesday due to my EPM1016 presentation. As we all know, in MMU culture, students usually bring forward their classes to an earlier time slot in order to finish class early. The same statement applied to me too :) The class I attended was so empty that I was spending my time sitting there doing some human counting. If I am not mistaken, only 19++ people including me was in the class. I kesian at lecturers actually realizing that they have to carry on and teach with such a small amount of students while we students (me as well) get to sleep or relax for finishing class early.
That would be it for now from me as I need to get myself some ZzzzZzz.
Quote of the day: "End of midterms marks the beginning of assignments and final examinations. C'est la vie!"

- Danity Kane - Damaged
- Ferras - Hollywood's Not America
- Madonna & Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes
- Sara Bareilles - Love Song

- Brooke White - Jolene (American Idol Studio Version)
- Taylor Swift - Teardrops on My Guitar
- Panic at the Disco - Nine in the Afternoon
- Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight
Album worth checking out:
Coco by Colbie Caillat - Somehow rather, I found solace in her. The simplicity of her lyrics as well as the purity of her voice just relaxes me. Coco is tailor made to make me realize how it is better to be a bubbly person. This album, in my opinion, is a breath of fresh oxygen that I certainly need.
Spirit by Leona Lewis - This X-factor UK winner is definitely her to make a mark on the music industry just like other divas namely Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Spirit offers a totally different genre from that of Coco as it is more emotional and strong vocally. Obviously, Leona is a powerhouse and I must admit - she is hot! The first single from the album is Bleeding Love; an emotional filled song written by non other than both my favourite Ryan Tedder, and Jesse McCartney. In addition, she is going to debut her album in the US very soon indicating that she is here to stay for a very long time. I am looking forward to more of her music in the future.
Notes: American Idol Season 7 is currently airing so, there is no doubt my playlist will contain some of the studio recording of the contestants.

Unfulfilled
I am sitting here staring blindly into my EPM1016 notes. To be frank, surprisingly, I don't feel nervous about going to tonight's exam. Most probably I am too numb of midterms. I can't wait to go and sit for the test. So, instead of doing some last minute studying, I decided to kill some time to update my blog. Midterm tests are the reason why I haven't made an effort to put up an entry for quite some time.
Somehow under this kind of "midterm test stress", I managed to think of so many things. It is funny how I can recall such stuffs. I finally found the reason why I still continue on although stress came along the way. I have a goal. I once set a very impossible thing to achieve. To put it in an easier way, instead of just being an engineer in the near future, I wish to be multipurpose or so-called versatile kind of person.
Choosing to be an Electronics Engineer perhaps is a bit of influence from my dad who used to be an electrician. Too much of facing little components: transistors, diodes, resistors and so on really enthusiast me to pursue the course.
However, as mentioned earlier, there are more for me to achieve in order to fulfil my goal. I've always wanted to try:
- Becoming a chef - I hope to take cooking as well as baking courses in the near future. Even if I do not want to be a chef, cooking skills are actually essential for me as most of you know how much I love food. Trying my hands on cooking Italian cuisines, baking mouth-watering Croissant, and cooking spicy, exotic Thai food tops my cooking list :)
- Becoming a freelance designer - Fashion designer? Not! I would like to design a thing or two; perhaps some website layouts and furniture pieces for instance while working as an engineer. I have been constantly working to boost my creative side as well. Designing can be self taught and solely based on inspiration.
- Becoming a host/deejay/emcee - I know! i know! I used to be the deejay for my university radio (Radio Multimedia University abbreviated by RMMU) for one semester, but that is not the kind of job I am talking about. What I mean is working for the real radio station as well as hosting some shows on national television. There's nothing better than talking non-stop especially on the radio and tv. Plus, it would be great to share good music and information to the public.
In addition, I also hope to:
- Travel the world - So far, up until now, I managed to visit South Africa (Cape Town and Johannesburg), Argentina (Beunos Aires), and Thailand (Bangkok). I am stoked as I get to visit Bangkok (a place of my dream since small), so I consider this half fulfilled. Well, there's still so many other places to travel to thus I hope to do it in the near future.
- Learn musical instruments - I want to learn piano and guitar. I was never been exposed to the musical world when I was young, but I knew it was never too late to start. As they say, "better late than never". To top it up, releasing an album would be perfect as well.
- Mastering more languages - I speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Hokkien, and Cantonese; a little bit of Teochew and Thai. I want to learn more languages so that it will be easy for me to communicate with people all around the world.
- Build up some muscles :P - Enrolling myself to the fitness centre, or gym, and having a personal trainer will definitely help in this case.
Those are the few things I can think of for now though it's odd that I have little wish of becoming a model. I knew myself and my limitations well; my heights just don't match up to the requirement to be a male model.
Having all these goals to achieve perhaps is one of the many reasons why I am still single. There's so much to do and freedom is what I need to achieve it. Though, who knows, as love is blind, I might one day forgotten all about my goals when I found the special someone.
P/s: To those thinking that I am setting an impossible target, let me give you a piece of advice: "You won't achieve anything unless you set a high target for yourself!"
