Randomness Rants

Since I already logged in to customize the layout of my blog, I can't help myself not to write something down. I am currently procrastinating to write an entry perhaps due to lack of inspiration.

Besides, my sleeping time had been getting way out of hand. Assignments and all the workloads I have been getting (not to mention outings) just turn me into a zombie lurking into the night. Yes, that is so true or maybe...not. I guess it is the latter. I might be the one getting hunted by zombies. You see, I have been doing assignments at my friend's house in Cyberia and walked all the way back to campus after midnight. The latest would be about 4 am. As the gate to the guy's dorm (trying to sound a bit 'standard') is closed after 1 am, I have to walk all the way back using a long, dark, deserted way. Scary sial!!!

I am glad all the sleepless nights poring into assignments are over for now but I still can't get my sleeping habit to be back to the way it has been before. Looks like I have to get used to being a night owl until everything appears right. Looking at the bright side, not sleeping through the wee hours actually gives me time to explore Adobe Photoshop. It will be my latest amusement in the mean time.

Today is also 25th December so, Merry X'Mas everyone.

Things I like about Christmas are the carols as well as snow (it's summer in Australia and Malaysia don't have snow but it's still something to talk about when it comes to Christmas) to name a few. I have always wanted to try the "kissing under the mistletoe tradition" too. (perhaps one day :P)

*******************************************
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas,
Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Silent night, holy night,
Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight,
Hark! The Herald Angels sing,

Emotional Entry

3.10 AM and counting...*Lights off except for the table lamp*

I think this is my first time writing something that involved my emotions so badly. I felt like swearing every single rude word I can think of at that particular person. That person is such a pain in the ass. Damn it. I can't even study and complete my assignment which is due on Monday because of that person.

I know it is indeed my responsibility that I took the job, but please appreciate what I had to offer. I know I am not a professional in your eyes, but at least give me some utter respect. Even if you don't like what I did, you can just spit it out in front of my face (I don't mind getting my face all wet because of your saliva). Do not...I repeat, Do not ever call other people to finish my not-professional-in-your-eyes-job!!!!

Ok. First, I have to clarify that I am not someone that cannot handle criticism. Bring it on!!! If you want to critic, please do it. I can change because I know I am not perfect. Can you imagine out of sudden you receive your own work but being upgraded to something that doesn't belong to you?Where is my originality? I must admit that what I done look ordinary if compared to the upgraded version. So sue me. You can tell me politely and nicely instead of calling other people to fix it.

I felt so much better now. Thanks to my dear blog and Michael Buble's Home which Westlife cover their own version of it for their latest album. All this just cheer me up.

Can you see what I see?

Hello all, I know I have been idle from blogging since like forever. Well, the wait is over. The fact is that I got so many things to write about but I just can't force myself to do so. Most probably it's due to my utter laziness. I better get my “lazy ass” to work. On the other hand, to think of it, disappearance of me for some time and come back, that would be a superb fun thing to do. We see most of the time in the entertainment industries, artistes come and go like nobody’s business.

***

There is this thing I noticed today during my class in XR1005 for Digital Logic Design. As you can see in this picture, the particular two rows are empty while others are fully occupied with students. To me, this is very odd so I decided to post it here. We were sort of joking about seeing people there. Creepy!

One funny thing I saw in the picture was the fact that I can see students dozing off in class. All I can say is: who doesn't? Some people might know what I am trying to emphasize here so I better not further my elaboration as I do not wish to be sued by anyone particularly *tut*. The hint: you aLready know who is thAt.

Till my next post.

Another Week To Remember

"Everytime I wanted to update my blog, I just felt extremely that I drafted what exactly I wanted to write without completing this entry. I do hope I can finish this entry a.s.a.p" -Kelv-

So, last week was my first week of Semester 2. It is the time again to study in order to pass another semester. I am not thrilled at all by the fact that I will be leaving KT back to the campus in Cyberjaya. Well, I have to face it anyway since I am a student and my 'job' is indeed to study. My first day of class started off with Electronics 2 at 12 pm followed by Digital Logic Design. Then, my last class ended at 7 pm which is Malaysian Studies.

Here is the best part, after class, we went to play pool at Prima Avenue or so (it is usually called Old Town by us so I wasn't really sure about the name). As a first-timer, I totally blew it. Pool is not as easy as it seems when I play it on Yahoo! Games. Anyway, I had fun and it was such a great experience. After pool, we had a nice dinner at Padi which is beside the Old Town Cafe.

The following days were as usual until Thursday which was a public holiday: Deepavali. Happy-so-called-'belated'-Deepavali!!!! I went to Seri Kembangan for dinner and dropped by McD to indulge in my favourite dessert: McFlurry with Oreo. Surprisingly, I saw Andy there. Too bad we only managed to wave at each other.

On Friday, I am stoked as it was the time to go back to my home in Selangor. This time, instead of my sister fetching me from campus, I went to her (literally). My destination: One Utama. From there, she fetches me after work. So, my journey started when I finished my class at 4.30 pm. I was at the bus stop at 5 pm and the bus arrived 30 minutes after that. I had to go to Putrajaya Sentral and change another bus directly to One Utama there. I guess I wasn't in my good luck that day. There were no seats left for me as the last one was taken by a guy in Blue shirt with Black Body Glove sling bag (I am so remembering that). I had to be the last guy standing and I felt that I went red on the face out of embarrassment. Luckily, I got myself a seat during the Tesco Puchong stop.

***

After just mere five days in Cyberjaya, I started to get bored. Thankfully, I AM HOME AT LAST. The next day which was Saturday, I went to Sunway Pyramid with my sister and her friends to watch Bee Movie. The movie was not bad. Oh, I just realized that Sunway Pyramid 2 finally completed.

Now, I am back again to Cyberjaya typing away to complete this entry. For lunch today, I went to Pizza Hut with my friends in Seri Kembangan. We managed to come back on time at 5 pm for Malaysia Studies class.

E.N.D. (Extremely Nothing Days)

“Spotted, K is writing his entry on the couch”.

So, I decided to start with the popular tagline from the CW series, Gossip Girl. What have I been up to lately? Hmm… let’s see: Sleeping, eating, and daydreaming my way towards the end of holiday. I am going back to KL on the 3rd and back to campus on the 4th which is around the corner. There goes my three weeks of holiday and about two weeks in Terengganu.

After so long not being in Terengganu, it is pleasant to be back. I finally see development around the town; now we have Giant, Secret Recipe, McD to name a few. How corny to say that about more than eleven years of my life here, we never really have a proper hang out spot. Don’t get me wrong, what I am trying to imply here is that I lead different lifestyles from my other-state-university-friends where shopping malls, cinemas might be their ideal place to hang out. I remembered vividly one of my favourite hang out spot is the beach. Yes, we east coast people love beaches. By the way, speaking of development, even the road back to my house undergoes some slight changes.

As I am going to start new semester soon, my results is indeed out. Thankfully, I passed. Well, enough said. There goes my short and sweet entry.

Happy Halloween!

Blog 1.0

Hey all. First and foremost, the reason this entry is entitled "BLOG 1.0" is because this is some sort of my comeback entry. My quote of the day:"I love making comebacks, after disappearing for so long". Anyway, I would like to restart what I had left untouched for so long. (perhaps not that long, just a few months). Currently I am having my three weeks semester break. Phew...what a hectic life it had been for the past couple of months. Not to mention, I am anxiously waiting for my results (praying so hard that I will pass everything).

I only got two weeks left of holidays so I hope and intend to enjoy it to the fullest. I guess it's time to mention something apart from my 'comeback speech'. Last week, I went to Bangkok, Thailand in order to get away from all the hustle and bustle surrounding me. Although it was a short visit, it is such an exciting experience for me. To those who don't know me that well, I am indeed an avid fan of the Thai cultures, entertainments as well as the people. I am looking forward to make another visit there if I have another chance.

As I mention, my visit to Bangkok was a short one. I spent two days just for shopping and I still hadn't had enough of it. I must say, Bangkok is one shopping heaven. I can't even shop the whole mall in one day. The two malls I went are the MBK Center (something like Sungai Wang, Lot 10 etc. in Malaysia, just that it's tenfold bigger than those malls) and the Siam Paragon (the largest mall in Bangkok). Coincidently, outside Siam Paragon, TVXQ (a popular Korean boy band) was doing press conference for their upcoming concert in Bangkok. Wow. The crowd was overwhelming (if that is the perfect word to describe them...I am not so sure).

Besides shopping, I went sightseeing and visited the Grand Palace. The palace is enormous and what amazed me the most besides the architecture of the buildings, the paintings on the wall are THE EMERALD BUDDHA. Too bad the weather wasn't all that good. It is the rainy season now in Bangkok. The floor was wet and dirty yet I barefooted in order to enter The Royal Monastery of the Emerald Buddha. What an experience!

As all good things always comes to an end, it is the time to say goodbye to lovely Bangkok (I loved everything about Bangkok except for the unbearable traffic jam revolving that place). Last thing I see before I head home to Malaysia: the Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is a new airport replacing the previous Don Muang International Airport.

***

Yesterday, I went shopping at The Curve. I am starting to suspect that I now 'mutated' into a shopaholic. I met Emily in Ikea when I went to grab some snacks (Ikea served the best curry puff and hot dog in my opinion).

There goes my life during the first week of semester break. I am going back KT soon enough which I have been looking forward to it.

Farewell

Well, final examination ended for my friends taking Foundation in Law. Bravo to all of you!!! Most of them are going back tomorrow while I am stuck here with two more subjects - Introduction to Probability and Statistics as well as Chemistry for Engineers. After this semester, I will be going to MMU Cyberjaya campus (let's hope I can pass all my subjects this semester). So, I guess I will not be seeing you guys anytime soon (Wayne, Yee Chian, Kah Yan, Sheel...to name a few). Here, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you the best in your future undertakings. Stay cool!!! Be sure to argue...hehe...

Wayne, make sure you enhance your debating skills. The next time I see you, hope you can finally make me stop and surrender for once. Stay with your dream of getting Four Flat or Dean's List. Study more and online less...

Yee Chian, my friend from Dungun, Terengganu. I am very glad to know you when I came here during the hostel orientation. Although it comes to an end, I know there will be opportunity to see you again. Don't forget to visit me in Terengganu. Hehe...who knows, I might come back for your event (free ticket for me, ok?).

Kah Yan and Sheel, I doubt that both of you will read my blog, but still, nice knowing both of you. I am looking forward to both of you being successful lawyers...in fact, all of you will be successful lawyers someday...no doubt about that.

I will be looking forward to meeting all of you again in the near future. Friend's forever and do keep in touch.

P/s: No offence, but i know you law people are very particular over grammars and spelling errors. Please don't criticize me if there are mistakes :P

Rockaddiction

Holla!!! Let’s spice things up in my blog. Based on the title, I am currently addicted to rock songs. I am so obsessed with songs by Daughtry. The lead singer is none other than American Idol 5 finalist, Chris Daughtry. The band released their self-titled debut album via RCA Records in 2006. The first single, ‘It’s Not Over’, really caught my attention.

“Li…thi…um…Li…thi…um…,” sang Amy Lee. This is a new song by Evanescence (I hope I got the spelling correct) entitled ‘Lithium’. I have been watching MTV or Channel V constantly, and this particular music video kept being aired. Now, as if my mind is an Ipod, kept repeating the Amy Lee’s version of the word Lithium. I might not need to study Chemistry for Engineers anymore next semester to know that ‘Li’ stands for Lithium. Ha-ha.

Ever heard of Almost by Bowling of Soup? Well, that is their previous creation. Their latest is ‘High School Never Ends’. In my opinion, this song is very ‘cheeky’ since they are comparing high school life with life after that. I have included an excerpt of the lyric, and it will explain everything:

“Reese Witherspoon,
She’s the prom queen
Bill Gates,
Captain of the chess team
Jack Black, the clown
Brad Pitt, the quarterback
Seen it all before
I want my money back!!”

Next, I also fell in love with the song ‘How to Save a Life’ by The Fray. I did a background check on this band since they seem new to me. They are actually a band based in Denver, Colorado. Their debut album was certified Double Platinum by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). I am looking forward to other tracks from their album.

Well, I guess these are a few rock songs which are my current ‘addiction’. I am definitely going to check out more rock songs in the near future. Till then, rock on!!!

Nelly: Why do all good things come to an end?

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end
~Nelly Furtado, All Good Things (Come To An End)~

All good things come to an end. This statement absolutely holds true since holiday will be over in a few days time. Then I will be back to study, study, and more study. I had drafted whatever installed for me in semester 3.

First and foremost, the lab report either it is a weekly report or a full report; it will be an utterly troublesome experience in my opinion. Then, there will be quizzes which made me suffering from butterfly in my stomach each and every time I cannot answer them. Assignments will be piling up as tall as the Petronas Twin Tower (well, maybe I am exaggerating), and due dates to be obey. Not to mention four tutorials classes every week.

There will also be group works such as the highly anticipated drama presentation for English III. Finding a group is already hard, working as a team is even harder I must say where we need to cooperate and to tolerate with each other. In addition to all the stress will definitely be the mid- term. Furthermore, I will be seeing new faces since PE12 will be joining in for the Applied Mathematics class. I am waiting to see what will happen during this quite interesting subject. As for my co-curriculum, I will be getting my parts in organizing the Career Fair 2007.

Here, I would also add a response to the debate of whether to study smart or study hard. From my point of view, a combination of both is so vital when I am in a university. Some people made a comment about semester 2 that it was an easy semester since most of them scored a GPA of 4. To me, semester 2 is neither easy nor hard. It is something in between; Calculus is hard while Physics II is slightly easier than Physics I (I decided to leave English II out of this comparison). Lastly, I am very looking forward to the last semester of my Foundation year.

Tatloapatpipo at Tatlosiyamwalo

The wait is finally over. Yes, OVER! Of course I mean the wait for the actual result of semester two. I felt this sudden urge to write about it. So, I am going to make this post a short one. What is my CGPA? What is my GPA? I guess some people out there knew so I will not reveal it here. Four or not, I am overall satisfied with what I had achieved because I knew all my effort is there.

Now that semester three is just around the corner, the stakes are definitely towering. The pressure is so on. With six subjects to handle in just about fourteen weeks, I might have to stay up until the wee hours, poring over thick textbooks, or notes. I must admit that I am having mix feelings about the upcoming semester: happy, sad, and nervous. In short, I am happy to go back Malacca, sad to leave Terengganu, and nervous to start a new semester.

Lastly, before signing out, something to say to all my friends:
SEE YOU SOON AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE UPCOMING SEMESTER!!!

Days-ies

Here I am again crapping my way through my ‘almost dead’ blog. Maybe I should start with an anecdote. There is this guy currently having three weeks holiday and suffering from a disease called bored-to-death-om. Oh, well! The guy is actually me and obviously the disease is a mere creation to describe the state I am in now. Mind me; I have gone all crappy due to boredom.

To date, I have almost one week left of holiday since next semester starts on the 29th of January, 2007 and will be going back to Malacca on the 27th of January, 2007. What am I doing all this while? My current obsession is definitely sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating (Opps! I guess my brain turned ‘rusty’ and ‘dusty’ since I haven’t been making good use with it), surfing the net, and watching television.

Although these past two weeks were boring, my crave towards mouth-watering dishes prepared by mum as well as the local delicacies of Terengganu is finally over. I can now eat to my appetite without worrying of getting F-A-T (Again, a mistake, I forgotten to mention that I am constantly exercising as well). Besides that, I went bowling once too with my friends.

As for now, I am still me. Perhaps, the only difference in me is that I am equipped with renewed energy which is adequate for Semester 3 and owned a shorter hair than before the semester break. I will try to make use of the days left of my holiday to gear up. Currently, I am also waiting for the actual results of Semester 2 since I have seen the ‘unofficial’ one.

Before this post, I had a draft of something that was on my mind at that precise moment but it seems unfinished to put it up. So, I will try to get it done if I am in the right mood or let it unfinished forever. I guess that is all - a piece of my thought to keep my blog going.

Note: The title is so irrelevant, but my rusted brain just doesn't come out with anything creative. All I know is that it rhymes with ‘daisies’. 'ies' can also be 'in extremely slow-motion' since my time during holiday seems never-ending : p

Don't Want to be Lonely No More

*Lights off*
Lying on my bed, out of the blue, I felt that I am actually missing my parents and my siblings. I don't know why I get such a feeling, but I just do.

Lonely I'm Mr Lonely,
I have nobody,
For my own,
~Lonely, Akon~

Memories and the song flashed through my mind. So, here I am now in front of my laptop trying to spill some emotions.

It had been almost two months I had not seen both my parents. Although I talked occasionally to them on the phone, the feeling is just so not equivalent to facing them face to face. I misses everything from my mom's mouth-watering dishes to her complain about how super messy my room was.

"A bit of flashback…..
Before I went to bed just now, I am cleaning my room. My room was all messed up due to the fact that I am lazy to clean it up. Plus, the finals are just around the corner. My notes were all over the place, and not to mention, the laundry piling up. If my mom is here, my room will not be that messy after all. SERIOUSLY!"

This year, I don't even get the chance of making as well as eating 'tong yuen' unlike previous years. To be truthful, I not only misses my family, but I am missing a whole lot more namely my room (the one in Terengganu), the television (I can't view my favourite drama series anymore on Astro Channel 30 and 70), and the local delicacies of Terengganu (nasi dagang, kerepok lekor).

For now, I can only sing:

Cause I don't want to be lonely no more
I don't want to feel empty no more
Only you could unbreak this heartache I've carried around
Don't wanna be lonely no more, no more
~Clay Aiken, Lonely No More~
